I was reminded today of an article that my friend Chris sent me a while ago, about Italian coffee culture. (I also cached a copy, in case the original ever disappears.) It’s a great article, and makes me want to visit Italy just to see what the author is talking about.
Nice: I’m going to Europe. I leave on June 17 from Boston, have a seven-hour layover in Montreal, and land in Paris sometime during the morning of June 18. I hope to take a train from there to Prague, hang out in Prague for a few days, take a train back to Paris, fly to Dublin from Paris, do a pub crawl with a couple med-student friends from the Royal College of Surgeons, hang out with them until they return to the States on July 1, then head to France and hike around for a while, head to Greece, etc.
The theme of this trip is Europe For History/Philosophy/Mathematics Geeks. I’m going to try to visit historical and philosophical sites, like Plato’s Academy in Athens. Not sure if I can make it down there in time, but I’ll see.
