Doctorow, Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, cont. again

Well I’ll be! A while back I commented that the license to Cory Doctorow’s book Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom was a little restrictive for my tastes: that it forbade derivative works, meaning that it would be impossible to “write a book called Up and Down in the Magic Kingdom that tells Down and Out’s story from Debra’s perspective.” Well, now you can write just such a story, if you want: Cory’s rereleased Down and Out under a less-restrictive license. Let creativity — and the Creative Commons — bloom. And many thanks to Cory for being such a fantastic author/Net activist.
