What-ever. “No Line on the Horizon” is a serious rock album. “Boy” was their breakout album, hugely important. I don’t dispute the gist of your other points, but I do dispute you use of the word “facts.” It appears that you consider the predicate ‘being a U2 album’ or ‘being a Star Wars movie’ to be an honorific and you object to that predicate being attributed to substandard productions. But honorifics are not facts; they are normative claims. Unless you take facts to be normative. ; )
